How it works
What does S tier mean?
S tier is the top of our fantasy audiobook tier list. A series earns an S from the grades Reddit readers gave it in tier lists, or, where there are too few lists, from how often listeners recommend it. Listeners' votes can then move it. A is the next step down, then B, C, D and F.
How is the ranking made?
Each series starts from what Reddit says: tier lists and polls on r/litrpg and r/Fantasy, the r/litrpg combined sheet, thousands of comments that name books, and Audible's "listeners also enjoyed" links. Each genre is judged against its own readers. Your votes then move a series away from its starting tier.
Can I vote?
Yes. On Everyone's ranking, tap a cover, then a letter. A series starts at its Reddit tier, worth 25 votes, so it takes many real votes to move it; one with no Reddit tier joins once 5 people have voted. It is one vote per browser per series, and you can change it any time.
Why is a series in a different tier in LitRPG and General Fantasy?
Each community is judged only against its own readers. A series such as Red Rising can be loved by general fantasy listeners and barely discussed by LitRPG readers, so it sits in a different tier in each filter. The All view uses the community with more data behind that series.
What does "Most recommended" mean?
A letter grade needs 10 or more ranked lists. Without that you see Most recommended, S to C only. It comes from how often listeners recommend a series in comments and polls, not from a rating, so it can never be a D or an F. Votes can still move the series.
What if a series is not fantasy?
Not fantasy or sci-fi? Tap the series, then vote No on "Fantasy or sci-fi?" in the letter bar. We review series with three No votes, and nothing is hidden automatically. On the LitRPG filter you can also say a series does not belong in LitRPG and Progression Fantasy.
What is My list?
My list is your own private tier list. It stays in your browser and never changes Everyone's ranking. You can save it as a picture, export it as a file to keep a backup, and import it again later. Placing a series there sends nothing to the site.
